- 對等連接詞包含：「and」、「but」、「or」。
- 「and」表示同時存在或呼應前句，如：Sam is tall and handsome.（Sam 又高又帥。）
- 「but」表示對比或相反，如：My brother can roller-skate, but I can’t.（我哥哥會溜冰，但我不會。）
- 「or」表示選擇，常置於疑問句或否定句中，如：Do you want coffee or tea? （你要咖啡或茶？）
- 問句中若含有 or，即使是 be 動詞或助動詞開頭，也不回答 yes / no。
